On Thursday we left Lac La Hache Provincial park & traveled to Prince George. Prince George is in the center of British Columbia and all roads from the north and south meet here. It is located at the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako River. Its the biggest city in the north at 80,000.When we left It had stopped raining but was a little windy. They Say Minnesota is a land of 10,000 lakes but there sure were a lot of lakes along this drive. Many on farm land. Below one of the lakes or big ponds. We were following Mike & Sandy so took a pix.
One of our stops was @ the Williams Lake Visitor Ctr. to use there Wi-Fi . It is a Beautiful bldg. made of logs. But of course It’s in a logging area so why would they use anything else. There were several log homes along the way & a couple Log Home Building Company’s. Below some pix of the visitor Ctr.
Sandy B. Liked this car in the visitor ctr. Thought maybe they could trade in there motor home for this more economical form of travel :-)
Just some of the scenery. I just missed getting a pix of our first wild life. Besides the many cows & horses. It was a young bear eating fresh grass along the rd. much like the bear in earlier post that we saw @ Baker Lake. And a pix of “The Yellow Submarine” :-) I’m going to have to get quicker on the shutter button or Steve is going to have to slow down even more.
We stopped @ the Treasure Cove Casino for the nite and decided to stay a 2nd nite before heading out. Steve & Mike are researching where they might be able to fish.
So That’s it for yesterday & today the 8th. Tomorrow the 9th. we will only head north a short way to Whiskers Point Provincial Park so the guys can fish on McLeod Lake.
