We didn’t stop @ the Hot springs. Many do & take a relaxing dip.

Finally after the hot springs we finally came upon a herd of Buffalo

Arrived @ Our destination About 4:00 pm Watson Lake. We stopped @ the Visitor service. There we found that there was an area that @ this time we could Boondock out by the Airport. And there is a free dump @ the park in town.

Our spot for a couple nites & Bubars spot just in front & to right of us. There right on the Lake.

We saw 1 Moose, 3 Sheep, a herd of Buffalo at least 20, 7 Black Bear & we think 1 young Grizzly or brown bear?

That’s it for now. Off to see town & try & get these posted.

At McDonald Campground Muncho Lake 6-17 & 18-2012

Again there are no hookups & here there is no dump. We stopped here for the guys to fish. But the weather seems very unpredictable. It could be beautiful & then in would come clouds with wind & some rain.

This was the hills behind the MH. There was a rainbow the day we were leaving.

The first day out on the lake they returned in a wind & rain that lasted a short time & then was nice again.

Below is a view out the window & in the tree is a not very good pix of the Chipmunks that tormented Yoda & the cats.

DSCN1121 DSCN1119

Yoda was so interested in the Chipies that he paid no attention to anything else.

Another view up the lake & Sandy B found yellow Lady Slippers. The gravel wash area behind the MH was full of them. The Lady Slipper is Minnesota's state flower. They don’t transplant & if you try they usually die or never bloom again. She has never seen Yellow ones there usually Blue or Purple.

That’s it for now.

Ft Nelson to Muncho Lk. 6-17-2012

Left Ft. Nelson about 10 after another quick stop @ the visitor Ctr for the wifi. Today we saw several critters. This may be a long post but mostly pix. It’s a beautiful drive with varied scenery. We saw a couple bear right off.

We had some good climbs to do 9% & one 10% grades. Below we were @ a switch back & got this pix of the Bubars behind us.

DSCN1045 DSCN1049

This pix Steve thought it look a little like Mt Rushmore. Can you tell that this is another set of bears :-)  Just wait It’s not going to be the last of the Black Bears :-)

DSCN1054 DSCN1062

We found the Stone Sheep down by the rd. because they like to eat the salt used on the roads in the winter. Closer to Muncho Lake there is an area where wildlife viewing is supposed to be good because of the natural salt & minerals in the falling rock area. People sometimes think these are goats but they are Sheep.

Below some pix of the different signage symbols used in Canada.

Below right you see a truck coming around a corner and a young Moose or Caribou in the road. It was frightened or confused & wasn’t sure where it was going to go The truck coming one way & us the other. I took several pix as it decided to go to the river.  So far along the way we have seen 2 road kill where probably a truck has hit an animal. The Caution signs are real.
